1 baguette 1 clove of garlic 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp of olive oil 50 gram of grated cheese A few leaves of Pick-&-Joy® Basil Tree fresh basil Salt and pepper
Method of preparation
Preheat the oven to 200° C
Chop the cherry tomatoes into small blocks. Put these tomato blocks in a bowl and add balsamic vinegar, olive oil and some salt and pepper and mix these ingredients. Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes.
Cut the bread into slices of about 1cm thick.
Squeeze the clove of garlic and mix it in a bowl with some olive oil.
Brush the slices of bread with the garlic mixture and bake the bread 5-10 minutes in the oven. Aim for a golden brown color before removing them. You can also use a grill pan to get those nice brown stripes on the bread.
Drain the tomato mixture in a sieve to remove the excess fluid and scoop the tomato mixture onto the warm bread.
Sprinkle the grated cheese and the basil onto the bruschetta.
